Dysphagia therapy
Dysphagia therapy increases patients' ability to swallow and breathe to improve their quality of life. Dysphagia is a common problem in people who have suffered brain damage. It can be caused by involuntary movements of the throat muscles, reduced or delayed tongue control or uncoordinated swallowing. In order to prevent malnutrition and inflammation in the throat and lungs, it is particularly important to recognise and treat dysphagia.
We offer the following therapy options:
• Clinical examinations of swallowing
• Treatment of patients with a tracheotomy tube after a tracheotomy
• Diagnosis using video recordings of the throat and larynx
• Tailored, patient-oriented dysphagia therapy
• Clinical feeding therapy
• In-depth advice for relatives
